Earl's skills as a graphic designer stems from a background in calligraphy from the University of Maryland, College Park. Being an old school typographer Earl prides himself of creating clean logotypes, avatars and graphic icons for his clients. Additionally he has a thorough understand of how color plays a dynamic role in design. One student said, "Ridgell drives me crazy with the details, however I am thankful for his abilities, I know I'll learn a lot from his expertise."
